Inspired by
one of the most famous (and Academy Award winner!) episodes of the Sylvester
series, the ‘Birds Anonymous’ dress will make you anything but anonymous!
In this
quite extraordinary episode, so unlike any other, Sylvester resolves to stop
eating birds and joins the Birds Anonymous association.
And while Sylvester
struggles to fight his urges, an all-puzzled Tweety asks him ‘Don't you
wike me anymo'?’, thus ruining the cat’s decision. After all of the latter’s
attempts to avoid even thinking of eating the canary fail, a mad Sylvester is
about to dive into the delicious feast. Right at this point Sylvester’s B.A.
sponsor steps in, showing him how cats and birds can peacefully co-exist: the
B.A. cat kisses Tweety. As he does so, he surprisingly loses control and tries
to devour Tweety himself, while Sylvester retains him and tells him to control
his urges!
'I I I can't sstand it! I gotta have a bird! I'm weak, but I don't care!' |
Such an unusual and fun episode inspired an unusual and fun
dress. Hitting just above the knee, with
a slightly dipped hem, the ‘Birds
Anonymous’ dress successfully combines a boxy, masculine silhouette (in a
rather masculine textile – French terry) with ultra-feminine details - an elegant boat-neck, ¾ sleeves and a
flirty gathered ruffled skirt. The element of surprise consists in the white
band on the back - Sylvester turned all good and in control :) - and the differently colored cuffs
- Sylvester is in control now, but not of himself, actually. After all, ‘Once a bad ol' puddy tat, always a bad ol'
puddy tat!’
